This makes no sense, you are so far away Though you are miles away, I see you clearly Away... (you are so far) But it's alright, didn't have to run away Instead of fighting you, I hope you're happy Away... (you are so far) (I get lost) (all I want is to see your face) You, you told me lies and left with my heart I want it back now You, you told me lies (you wove deceit, you were so clever) and left with my heart (we grow, we grieve, return to sender) I want it back now Oooh... I know you've been haunting me, I can feel you watching me I know you've been haunting me, I can feel your spirit here I know you've been haunting me Hunting me...

Sorry to be that guy Sorry to be that guy Once again Once again Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? I came to have fresh air but your breath is killing me, damn I need to read this book but you're talking too much I'm trying to watch this screen but your head is blocking me, damn I'm trying to have some space but you're taking all that's left - sha! So can I have some space, please? Can I have some space, please? Can I have some space, please? Ey, do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Do you mind? Yeah, I'm sorry to be that guy Sorry to be that guy Once again Once again...

about

For the first time since the band ended their multi-year hiatus, Just a Band revisit nine of their favourite old compositions and grooves from an oeuvre of sounds stretching back to their first album release in 2008, as well as introducing new single Watasema from the band's forthcoming music projects.

Featuring the band’s softer ballads like Probably for Lovers and Hey! alongside deep cuts such as Thank You/Rebel and a Cause and Away, echo situates Just a Band's career-defining catalogue of sounds into a feedback loop of ideas, memory and images reflecting back and forth through time and space.

Just a Band Nairobi, Kenya

Just a Band are Blinky Bill, Dan Muli, Jim Chuchu and Mbithi Masya. The Kenyan outfit began making music in 2008, coming to be known for their genre-bending sounds and playful music videos. Just a Band reunited in 2020; older, still starry-eyed, charging forward on new voyages in sound and sight. ... more
